Cedar Wood Fencing

We offer the option of either white cedar or western red cedar, wood fencing. Both offer many of the same benefits. For a wood fence, cedar is the best option because it is long lasting and of the highest quality. Cedar is incredibly easy to work with and will not splinter or crack over time. The advantages of cedar is that is doesn’t need to be treated in order to maintain its strength and contains natural qualities that prevent complications such as insects and rotting. Although both western red and white cedar are available, we primarily use white cedar for our wood fence installations. This is because white cedar is manufactured locally and red cedar is shipped from the West Coast, making the cost of red cedar much more expensive. A fence installation is a large investment, and here at Northeast Fence & Iron Works we want to provide our customers with a product that will last while still being cost effective.
